Background:
Approximately four years ago I started a journey with the Holy Spirit through the scriptures and God has literally changed my heart, mind and being. This journey began when the Lord put a preacher in my life who encouraged me to read and memorize the Word of God while praying for the Lord through His spirit to speak to me and teach me according to His will. I cannot begin to put into words all the Lord has spoken to me over the last three years but with the Lord's guidance I want to encourage you too to study God's word by asking God to reveal His word to you through His Spirit.
As God leads, I plan to share a few things I have learned about my own failures in my Christian walk which came about from the lack of knowledge of God and His Word.
My prayer for 2014 is Colossians Chapter 1 verses 9-13.which reads:
"For this cause we also, since the day we heard it (your work of faith), do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son"
